2024 Princeton Show Jumping Young Jumper Development ProgramRegistration Fee: $400
This unique program is designed to educate and promote young jumpers in the United States by giving them the opportunity to show over quality jumper courses with the best footing at little or no cost.
Eligibility: Available to all 4, 5, and 6 year-old horses who are registered for the 2024 Princeton Young Jumper Development Program, have a microchip registered with USEF, and have Age Verification confirmed through USEF. USEF Age Verification instructions can be found on the USEF website. Benefits of this program start when the PYJ development program registration fee of $400 is paid and the USEF website shows the horse’s Foal Date as “Age Verified”. Rules and Regulations: Eligible horses will have the opportunity to show at any 2024 Princeton Show Jumping horse show with no class, office, EMT, ship in, or nomination fees. Only Jumper classes not restricted to Amateur or Junior riders and where the fence height is set at 1.30m or below are included in this program. Entries will still be responsible for paying USEF/USHJA, stabling, and scratch fees if applicable. The back number issued at the shows will be marked to reflect the entered horse is in this program. Horses’ microchips will be scanned at the in-gates to verify the horse entering the ring is the same horse submitted on the entry blank with the show secretary. If a horse is shown as a PYJ and proves NOT be the PYJ horse entered for that entry number, a fine of $500 will be charged to the owner and the PYJ horse originally entered on the entry blank submitted to the show secretary is subject to elimination from the PSJ Young Jumper Development Program and may not be eligible for the PYJ Championships for that season. If a horse competes in any classes that are not included in this program, all normal fees will be charged. Horses will be listed in results and receive ribbons and awards, but will not receive prize money. PYJ registered horses will only be eligible to compete for prize money if the show secretary is notified prior to the horse showing in any classes at that show. In cases where the proper documentation has been submitted to USEF, but the horse is not yet listed as “Age Verified” on the USEF website, full fees must be paid to Princeton Show Jumping at check out. If the horse’s Age Verification is reflected on the USEF website within 10 days from the last day of the show, all applicable fees will be refunded. Any discrepancies or unforeseen conflicts within the rules will be decided by PSJ show management, whose decision will be final. |
